Our Masters athletes Will Magee and Vic Novell performed well at the European Indoor Masters Championships held in Ancona Italy recently.

Will, competing in the over 40 age group, finished 5th in both finals of the 60metres & 200 metres posting times of 7.29 & 23.12 respectively and helping the 4 x 200 metres relay team to 3rd place and a Bronze medal in a time of 1min 37.2 secs.

Vic, competing in the 0ver 60 age group, ran well but was unable to make the finals and posted impressive times in his heats with a 8.65 in the 60 metres and 27.96 in the 200 metres and he also helped gain a Bronze medal in the 4 x 200 relay in a time of 1minute 49.55secs.

The standard was very high with several European and World records broken with British athletes involved and the GB team, in total, achieved an impressive 44 Gold – 34 Silver and 35 Bronze medals.
