Team Southampton’s Senior Women travelled to Barnet for the BAL 10in 100 Cup Final at the Copthall Stadium, Barnet. On a warm and sunny day the team performed well in a very close fought match, with the lead changing hands throughout the day. The match finished with only 4 points separating the top 4 clubs.

Despite seasons best from Emily Newton (Long Jump) and Sian Scott (400m) and personal best from Freya Jones in the Discus (27.07m), the team only missed out on victory by 3 points.

My thanks to the athletes for making the job of team managing, on the day, such an enjoyable time.
