Three members of Southampton AC took the trip across to France to compete in the 49th Cross International de Beauregard.

Harvey and Jean Bowles (life members of the club and organisers of this event for many years) also made the event as French guest of honours and to offer their support on this very cold but sunny weekend.

Performance of the day came from Tom Muddiman in the senior race who showed no fear for his foreign rivals or the course storming round the hilly, twisting circuit to finish a very creditable 13th place. Matt Bracher also improved 10 places from last year to finish 44th after starting a little more steadily this year.

Andy Morgan-Lee won the veterans race outright to defend last years M40 title winning by 32secs.
