The youngest of the Southampton AC's age groups, the U11's got their club cross country season off to a fine start with some terrific performances in the Wessex cross country league in the wonderful surroundings of Canford School near Wimborne on the 30th October.

All of the U11 athletes were making their cross country debuts for the club and show great potential for the future. The U11 race ran both the boys and girls together and Jack Higgins was the first U11 home in 7th place. He was followed by Olivia Hollos in 14th & Poppy Wright in 17th to ensure Southampton took 3rd place in the team race. Holly Powell was next to finish in 18th place making Southampton the first team with 3 girls to finish. Next to finish was Elizabeth Adamson in 39th place, a little tired from winning the mini great south run the day before. Next home was Ben Vaughan in 48th place and Lucy Wilkinson in 60th place.

In the other age groups, Blake Miller was 5th in the u13 boys race, Rosie Lynch was 21st in the u13 girls & Holly Branson was 15th in the u15 girls.
