The first Sports Hall grand Prix event took place on 17th October and proved very popular, the news item announcing the first event is Here and the results are posted in the Sports Hall Results Section.
The poster on the right gives details of the second event and is summarised below:
CHRISTMAS SPORTS:HALL GRAND PRIX - WEST HILL PARK SCHOOL
WEDNESDAY 19TH DECEMBER 2007 - 5:45-8:00pm
- Competition for Boys / Girls (4 Age Groups):- Entry Fee - £1.75 per Under 20 athlete; £2.25 for adults
U11's (Year 5/6) (Minimum Age 8 Years)
U13's (Year 7/8)
U15's (Year 9/10)
Year 11+
- Each competitor participates in 6 events:
Sprint x 2
Standing Long Jump
Speed Bounce
Bull-Nosed Javelin
Standing Long Jump
- Prizes for winners in each age group (points awarded for each event)
- Participation prizes for all competitors
- Visitor from Lapland expected! (perhaps a penguin?)
- Parents to assist with judging / officiating please!
