Also from the Same Website there is a sort of "why you should vote for Cat bit..."
Why I took up triathlon:
I have always been a very keen runner, focusing on middle distance, and around a year ago I took up cycling to keep my Dad company on his rides and to cycle to cycle the 11 miles to my college. As I was already doing two of the three disciplines anyway, triathlon seemed the next logical step, especially since up until three years ago I swam competitively.
Why I want to be part of the Academy:
Although I am a student and hence should be a no-good layabout, I seem strangely drawn to needlessly putting myself through agony in the name of sporting glory (or the dream thereof). The Michelob ULTRA London Triathlon was my first race and although disturbed by the men in bikinis I couldn't help but love the entire experience, from start to finish.
I realise that I am very much biased, however, I can only say that were I given the opportunity I would give everything, every session, to become the best I can. I know I have a lot to work on, but also know I'm willing to give it my best shot.
