It was a good weekend for Southampton based athletes at the British Masters Indoor championships held at the Lee Valley stadium in north London.
For the third year running Mary Axtell brought home two gold medals, storming the W65 60m in 10.14 and the 200 in 35.46.
Jon Tilt took his first British indoor title since 2006, winning the M45 400m in 54.06, while Vic Novell sprinted away with two silver medals in the M65 60m (8.44) and the 200m (27.95).
Michele Wakefield narrowly missed out on a medal in the W40 400m, finishing 4th in 68.30.
Rod Davies, returning from injury, kicked off his season by entering the M50 60m, 200m and the long jump.
